April 2026 California Personal Income Tax Daily Revenue Tracker
April 15 is the annual personal income tax (PIT) payment deadline.
General Fund PIT receipts for the current fiscal year (FY 2025-26) totaled $102.54 billion through March 31, which was $4.1 billion, or 4.2 percent, higher than anticipated in the 2025-26 Governor’s Budget.
The FY 2025-26 Governor’s Budget estimated April 2026 PIT collections to total $20.66 billion. PIT receipts expected in April represent 8.85 percent of total General Fund revenues of $233.29 billion anticipated for the entire 2025-26 fiscal year.
The chart below compares the running actual total to the estimate of April PIT receipts. The total consists of PIT receipts minus refunds.
Note: As the Franchise Tax Board extended the 2024 tax filing deadline to October 15, 2025, for certain Los Angeles County residents and businesses in response to the January 2025 fires, current fiscal year-to-date PIT estimates and collections include these deferred payments.
