Where to Submit
Single Audit reporting packages should be submitted to the State Controller’s Office (SCO), Division of Audits by the single audit submission due date. The reporting packages are due nine months after the entity’s fiscal year-end. For most California entities, the due date is March 31st.
You may submit your reporting package to the SCO via the SCO’s Data Exchange Portal (DEP), or by U.S. Postal Service or private carrier. Reports submitted via DEP must be uploaded as unsecured PDFs.
The DEP is a secure web-based portal for uploading documents to the SCO Division of Audits. If your entity does not have an account in DEP, please contact the SCO at singleaudits@sco.ca.gov to request an Account Passcode and instructions.
