2012 Reporting and Publication Information

Reporting Due Dates 
Government Code section 53891 requires cities, counties, and independent special districts to submit completed financial and compensation reports to the State Controller’s Office:

• Within 90 days after the close of the entity’s fiscal year – when submitting reports by paper
• Within 110 days after the close of the entity’s fiscal year – when submitting reports by electronic format
• Within 120 days after the close of a hospital special district’s fiscal year – when submitting reports electronically

Publication Schedules
Compensation information for local government entities will be posted by groups as follows:

Entity	Estimated Publication Date
Counties and Cities	December 2013/January 2014
Independent Special Districts*	February/March 2014
