Scope of Position:
Under the direct supervision of the Accounting Administrator I, Supervisor, the Office Technician position is responsible for providing clerical support for the Departmental Accounting Office (DAO). Duties included but not limited to the following:
Duties and Responsibilities:
(Candidates must perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Responsible for the Departmental Accounting Office’s reception area which includes answering multi-line telephone, screening calls and front desk visitors directing them to the appropriate staff member along with general clerical support. Also, assist as back up with Administration’s multi-line telephones. Open, review, sort, date/time stamp and distribute daily incoming mail. Coordinate with SCO’s daily couriers for distribution of interoffice mail.
- Assemble claim schedules for all SCO payments. Run tape of all claims. Record daily cash receipts to the DAO’s cash log. Sell transit passes to employees eligible to purchase at the State’s subsidized rates and maintain employee eligibility list. Perform daily reconciliation for transit sales.
- Release agency checks and payroll warrants to appropriate divisions and perform daily messenger runs to SCO divisions within the WBC building sight. Distribute incoming facsimile transmission to addressee.
- Coordinate repairs for the DAO’s two Biz-Hub copiers with the service vendor. File and maintain payee data record files, agency check requests, and agency check stubs. Assist in maintaining various files and archiving public records.
