Scope of Position:
With general supervision provided by a Staff Services Manager I, the Program Technician II is responsible for the more difficult review and process of unclaimed property reports received. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Duties and Responsibilities:
(Candidates must perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodations.)
- Provide responses to holders of Unclaimed Property, seeking information or clarification of Unclaimed Property law, NAUPA II compliance programs, and penalties for untimely reporting.
- Review and verify data contained in the more complex unclaimed property reports for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with laws, regulations and reporting procedures; and take necessary action to correct reporting deficiencies, which includes: contacting holders or administrators and working to obtain clarification of information and/or additional data.
- Key enter unclaimed property holder, report, and owner information onto the Unclaimed Property database, conduct database queries, research of files, preparation of lists, etc.
- Track the status and follow up on unresolved problem reports; provide status updates for the team leader and/or management and prepare, maintain and update weekly statistics sheets for the Reporting Unit.
- Enter, edit, and maintain pertinent data for various PC files required for tracking the disposition of unclaimed property reports as well as holder correspondences delivered to the Reporting Unit.Prepare reports for processing to dock storage and State Records Center; perform special assignments, which may include providing support to the claims unit when required.
Core Business Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
