Controller John Chiang speaks in favor of bills that would improve financial literacy education and student loan counseling for students. The legislation -- known as AB 391 and AB 534 -- was introduced by Assemblymember Bob Wieckowski, D-Fremont. The Controller, Wieckowski, Assemblymember Roger Dickinson and many college students gathered on the south steps of the Capitol on April 8, 2013, to back the bills.
