Explore Unclaimed Property, News Release on your Smart Phone

SACRAMENTO – State Controller John Chiang today announced his office has launched a mobile version of his website to provide quick access to several public services for smartphone users.

"This technology will allow Californians to search for unclaimed property, read the latest press releases, and check our Twitter feeds while standing in line at the bank or waiting to check out at the grocery store," Chiang said.

In the coming months, the Controller is also planning to launch additional mobile services that include a calendar of upcoming free tax and financial education seminars and summaries of the latest monthly cash reports.

Anyone with an iPhone, Android or most other smartphones will immediately be directed to the Controller's mobile website when they go to the regular public website at www.sco.ca.gov.  If you prefer viewing the full website, you can return to it by tapping on the "Use Regular Site" link on the mobile website.

The mobile site does not offer all functions for Windows 7 phones, but the Controller's Office is working to add that feature soon.

Those using iPads or other tablets can opt to view the mobile website by clicking on the "Mobile" link at the top of the home page of the regular public website.
