Scheduled to end: Temporary Computation Split process for Deduction Clients

Action Required by Deduction Clients: Share the following information with all appropriate staff working with remittances and reconciliation of payroll deductions.

Description: On November 15, 2021, the State Controller’s Office (SCO) released an updated communication to all Deduction Clients titled Update: Temporary Computation Split process for Deductions Clients Using Paper Input Process. This notification was to announce that the current temporary computation split process was due to end once a permanent solution was found. The temporary computation split process, which began in August 2021 with the mid-month business month has remained in place and ended in June 2023 due to a decrease in service charge rates effective July 1, 2023.

Please note: The deduction system will be configured to allow paper input service charge rates to lead with a whole dollar amount (i.e. $000.00) for both the *CalHR* administrative fee field (formerly displayed as DPA) and the *SCO* service charge field effective the September 2023 business month.

Population Affected: All SCO deduction clients using the paper input process.
