Leave Accounting Position Inaccuracies

Date Incident Identified:  January 9, 2024

Description:  California Leave Accounting System (CLAS) and departments may not be able to access leave accounting records for employees who had a position change occurring after July 1, 2023 and received a retroactive General Salary Increase (GEN) or Special Salary Adjustment (SAL). Employees who are affected will not have accruals posted during the Monthly Leave Processing for the month of January and will not show accruals on the Monthly Leave Activity and Balances report. The State Controller’s Office (SCO) is working diligently to correct the issue and will key accruals for affected employees. A broadcast email will be sent when this process is complete.
