Leave Credit Offset Calculator Redesigned

Action Required: Share the following information with all human resources (HR) office employees.

Description: The State Controller's Office (SCO), Personnel and Payroll Services Division, has redesigned the Leave Credit Offset Calculator to provide a more user friendly experience for HR employees. Enhancements include:

  1. Defined requirements for the “Salary Full Rate” field.
    • Salary Full must be the current salary, not the salary rate from Accounts Receivable (AR) pay period.
  1. Mandatory input of all fields to be completed for a calculation to populate.
    • If a field is N/A due to the type of Leave Credit Offset, enter 0.00.
    • For Payroll and Premium Pay Leave Credit Offsets, the AR Retirement Deductions are required if present on the AR Payment Details screen. If Misc. Deductions are present on page 2 of PAY HIST, please enter 003/005/006/009.
  1. Added Federal Tax-Exempt option.
  1. Under Salary Rate, the addition of 184.16 for Bargaining Unit 06.
  1. Updated instructions that include clarification of the changes above.

Bargaining Unit 06 General Salary Increase Mass Update Effective July 1, 2023

Action Required: Share the following information with all human resources (HR) office employees.

Description: In preparation for the Bargaining Unit 06 General Salary Increase Mass Update effective July 1, 2023, departments should refrain from keying Employment History (EH) transactions on November 27, 2023, for eligible employees. In addition, please review and correct any expired appointment expiration (Item 416), or separation expiration date (Item 645) for applicable employees prior to the mass update.
