State Controller's Office (SCO) Impacted by Technology Outage
Action Required: Share the following information with all human resources (HR) office employees.
Date Incident Identified: March 19, 2026
Description: The State Controller’s Office (SCO) is currently experiencing a limited internal technology issue. As a result, the Personnel and Payroll Services Division (PPSD) and the California State Payroll System (CSPS) may be delayed in responding to communications (email, phone calls, Teams messages, etc.).
All business operations and mainframe systems remain operational, and documents can still be uploaded and processed through the mainframe and ConnectHR as needed.
We will provide updates as more information becomes available.
Date Incident to be Resolved: Work is in progress to restore these systems as quickly as possible.
